物の哀れ | THE GENESIS OF THE BUTTERFLY

This is a personal project that was based on the study of the Japanese expression "Mono no aware" - 物の哀れ.
This expression can be interpreted as "the sensitivity to the beauty of transient things" or "the empathy for the ephemerality of things". It is a feeling of gentle melancholy or quiet sadness that arises from contemplating the ephemeral experiences of life.
Mono-no-aware acknowledges the transient and impermanent nature of all things, from the seasons of the year to moments of joy or beauty. This includes the appreciation for the delicacy of flowers that bloom and wither quickly, and even the nostalgia that accompanies the passing of time.
For this project, some posters were created that reflect the theme, capturing the subtle and ephemeral essence of Mono-no-aware.
